A small intervention with a big impact: with the «Digital Lounge», Schaffhauser Kantonalbank is creating an atmospheric space for its customers to use innovative digital banking services.

Over a period of eight months — from the start of planning to the completion of the conversion during ongoing banking operations — a new meeting space was created and implemented for a partial area of the customer zone: At the e-stations and learning desks, customers can acquaint themselves with the mobile banking applications and receive support in case of questions or problems. In addition, a cosy coffee bar invites customers to linger and various seating areas offer retreats for discussions and consultations.

The redesign responds to current needs: more and more people are looking for efficient and flexible banking services while many customers need help with complex digital issues. The design concept focuses on flexibility and transformation. Mobile and customisable furniture components ensure that the bank can respond quickly to future changes.
