Improved visibility at a new location
The inauguration of Banque Cantonale Neuchâteloise’s new advisory centre at its updated location was a truly uplifting and positive event. As the previous premises were close to reaching their limits of capacity and were facing substantial renovation expenses, BCN took the strategic decision to seek out a new location that would offer improved visibility and closer proximity to its valued clients.
The extensive renovation project had a dual focus: improving accessibility and incorporating sustainable technologies and energy-saving measures. The addition of large openings in the façade allows more natural light to flood the space, creating a welcoming and inviting environment for clients at the Peseux advice centre. The new premises not only accommodate the five-person team, but also feature a spacious multifunctional room — the «Forum». This versatile room can be used for a variety of purposes, such as customer events or staff training session thanks to its flexible equipment that allows it to be quickly and easily rearranged as required.
We posed two questions to Carole Wirth, Head of Office, and Jacques Schangel, Head of Infrastructure and Real Estate:
Mrs Wirth, you are the branch manager in the new premises. What changes — compared to the previous situation — do you notice the most?
Carole Wirth: I particularly appreciate the premises which have been very well thought out to provide the best possible welcome for our customers. The energy flows and the atmosphere is really calming. The coulours are harmonious, you feel like you are in an apartment; you forget the rigid aspect of banks and that is very pleasant.
Is there anything you miss in the new premises? Or did you imagine something different?
Carole Wirth: The discretion of the offices, the reception desk and the entire office are perfectly designed for working intelligently; I have nothing to criticise.
Mr Schangel, what has been your biggest challenge as the BCN project manager in charge?
Jacques Schangel: There were quite a few! The need to remain flexible in the face of uncertain delivery dates and stricter requirements under the new Energy Act should certainly stand out.
What gives you the most pleasure today?
Jacques Schangel: The pleasure of being able to offer our employees a modern, informal working environment and to our clients welcoming, pleasant premises. And, of course, the pleasure of working with trustworthy partners such as Gehri Interior Design Office, which stands for high quality work.
Many thanks for the pleasant co-operation, a big thank you and good luck!
