Highlights of the furniture components
- 3D measurement using laser scanning: Through rotation and inclination, the entire space is captured by millions of points — in this case, exactly 68,790,221 — creating a point cloud; at the same time, the space is photographed.
- 3D modeling of the structure: The 3D structure is then modeled onto the point cloud to construct the furniture components in 3D with Vectorworks and to prepare the interface for CNC export. The goal: seamless data flow. By the way, the highest recorded temperature of the laptop processor was 89.4 °C!
- Post-processing of plans: The plans for the production of the workpieces are refined by our experienced CNC team.
- Technically complex, precise assembly of the 365 uniquely shaped and sized triangles into impressive furniture components with an extraordinary presence in the space.
- Surface treatment after assembly: After assembly, the painter on-site treats the furniture surfaces with a mineral coating in a stone-look finish, creating the desired surface texture — as if carved from stone.
We also created the reception desk in a fitting design language, that seamlessly integrates with the wall shelf, as well as a cafeteria kitchen and its high table for the employees.
Thanks to our innovative approach, we consistently create unique furniture elements that not only impress with their functionality but also with the perfect symbiosis of cutting-edge technology and artisanal craftsmanship.
We would like to thank Banque Raiffeisen des Montagnes Neuchâteloises and ARC Architecture for their trust and the pleasant, inspiring collaboration on this beautiful project.
