While the ship «M/s Ville d’Estavayer» glides gently over the waves, Lake Neuchâtel reveals all its beauty. Traveling on the water opens a completely new perspective on the surroundings. Thus, the trip on the lake becomes an unforgettable travel experience that combines the beauty of nature, the tranquility of water and a sense of freedom. The scenery becomes literally magical when a breathtaking sunset over the Jura chain is reflected in the lake.
In this context, the ambiance changes from a course ship to an event ship: the trip on Lake Neuchâtel becomes an unforgettable experience for all senses. We are very pleased that LNM has entrusted us with the design of their new corporate interior. We started this project with a good deal of enthusiasm and an intensive workshop with the LNM team. What do customers expect from the service and atmosphere on board? How can these expectations be reconciled with the needs of the employees and the maintenance crew? These were the central questions on which we focused in depth.
The ceremonial inauguration of the completely renovated ship «M/s Ville d’Estavayer» was an extremely enjoyable day for our design and interior design team, even though the weather was not on its best side. LNM’s new look is informal and relaxed, close to its customers and of a discrete class.
Ambience
The interaction between light, colors and materials is an important component of the new visual identity of the «M/s Ville d’Estavayer». The choice of flooring was also decisive. After examining a number of options, the oak parquet was custom-made here in Switzerland — and at a much lower price than the French solid wood parquet that was also on offer.
Another important factor is acoustics or sound absorption, because experience shows: the later the evening, the louder the guests! That’s why we used recycled, sound-absorbing PET panels to line the ceilings, giving a second life to some 5,000 33-cl PET bottles.
