Les Coteaux du Soleil: Experiencing the Wine Culture

Hospitality meets banking at the new Raiffeisen Sion et Région in Vétroz

back to objects overview

Each branch highlights local themes: artistic creation in Savièse, freeride sports in Nendaz, and in the newest branch, the viticultural identity of the Coteaux du Soleil region. The story of the place forms the starting point of the architectural concept and strenghtens the local connection — a core value for our client.

We accompanied the bank throughout the entire project — from tenant-fit-out consultancy, defining spaces and orientations, to design development, interior architecture and final realisation.

The design typology provides a foundation for future branches, interpreted according to regional characteristics. Birchwood establishes a link to the location, while the color palette draws inspiration from local grape varieties: Johannis, Amigne, Cornalin and Syrah.

The brand wall, clad with grape leaves that we collected together with the bank from the surrounding vineyards, frames the rear waiting and meeting area. Zenithal light and custom lighting highlight the vines and trellises, while the floor-to-ceiling curved glass echoes the shape of a wine bottle.

Lighting concept
Natural daylight saves energy. For this reason, we integrated zenithal light at the heart of the bank. Custom lighting follows the rhythm of the vineyard trellises. By night, lighting over the table in the waiting area illuminates the plants that symbolize the vines.

Vine photography
Pauline Wüthrich from Sion created the artistic photographs of the café zone in its immediate surroundings. The color world of these images is echoed and reinterpreted within the space, creating a subtle dialogue between art and interior architecture.

Our role
We supported Banque Raiffeisen Sion et Région from strategic planning to project completion and thank the bank’s management for the opportunity and the board for their trust.

We wish the Vétroz team every success and hope that the newly designed spaces enhance the banking experience for both customers and employees alike.
