Temporary customer zone for Bezirks-Sparkasse Dielsdorf – proximity, comfort and identity at the station

Right on track

back to objects overview

Embedded in everyday life, directly at Dielsdorf station, a temporary facility was created for Bezirks-Sparkasse — deliberately conceived as more than just an interim solution. Located within sight of the future construction site of the new building, the setting leverages the station’s high footfall and visibility, bringing the bank even closer to its clients during the construction phase.

The spatial concept is defined by an intentionally light-touch intervention. The guiding principle was to achieve maximum functionality and atmosphere with minimal impact. Clearly defined zones for reception, consultation and discreet conversations provide orientation and foster trust.

The temporary nature of the interim solution is expressed through a raw and pragmatic material language that nonetheless conveys warmth and softness. An untreated aluminium sheet back wall, corrugated wall and pendant luminaires, as well as profile lighting spanning the space, interact with depth, reflections and perspective. Through this carefully curated materialisation, a distinctive identity has emerged — despite, or precisely because of, its temporary character.

To accommodate the entire team during the construction phase of the headquarters, we also conducted a site evaluation and identified a suitable location on the opposite side of the tracks. In parallel with the temporary station facility, we supported the client throughout concept development, planning and implementation.

The project demonstrates how even a temporary setup can unite quality, brand identity and user experience — offering a precise response to current needs and future developments.

We would like to thank the client for their trust and for the constructive and enjoyable collaboration.
