We are delighted that Raiffeisenbank Obwalden chose us as their interior fit-out partner for their modernisation projects in Alpnach, Sarnen (new build) and Kerns. Based on the concepts of architekturwerk ag and werkunion, we delivered high-quality solutions for furniture, wall claddings and ceilings that reflect the bank’s commitment to forward-looking, personalised customer service.
Challenges
The branches in Alpnach and Kerns were renovation projects that held a number of surprises: unexpected structural conditions repeatedly required design adjustments. Thanks to our flexibility and experience with projects of this scale, we were able to meet every challenge with convincing solutions.
Highlights
- Wall claddings with continuous veneer patterns showcase the mountain panorama of Obwalden. Laser engravings precisely reproduce the contours of the peaks as well as the Raiffeisen logo. Beneath the moutain reliefs, custom perforations along the contours ensure pleasant acoustics — the result of careful planning and meticulous execution.
- Curved reception desks, manufactured from a single piece, lacquered and finished with a desktop surface. The iconic Raiffeisen «R», CNC-milled from solid wood and backlit, is both a visual highlight and a practical bag holder.
- 24-hour zones: Here too, the moutain relief theme is continued: laser engravings, continuous veneer patterns, acoustically effective perforations and offset ceilings create a harmonious overall composition.
- Restrooms in the new Sarnen building: Finally, a striking backlit 3D staging of the Obwalden moutain panorama invites visitors to pause and admire — even in this discreet space.
